- He said that when he came to the military unit, the soldiers told him that there were many dead and wounded, mostly mobilized men. They were immediately sent to the front line. When Koshchenko’s unit was sent into combat positions, the servicemen were not provided with communications, food, or ammunition. He and his comrades lasted only three days in the position.
