Vitaly Sergeevich Petrenko

  • May 9, 1989;
  • Serviceman;
  • According to him, disabled and old people were collected at the military enlistment office. They were promised that they would be left in the guard company, but they were deceived and sent to the front line. None of them had any combat experience. On the front line they had never seen a commanding officer. Everything was run by sergeants. For any offense they were beaten or sent to the position without water, food and warm clothes for several days. His unit had a large number of dead, but the command did not remove them: they did not want to deal with the shipment of bodies and counted them as missing.
