Korobko Pavel Andreevich, born February 19, 1978. I was on conscript duty in a separate brigade. In the town of Novopavlovka, I was taken prisoner. We were supposed to storm the position, but we don’t have enough people to do anything. So we moved forward, came under fire, I was wounded in the head and arm, and lost consciousness. The guys dragged me into some basement of a house, and we stayed there for several days without any support from our command. Then your guys approached and told us to surrender. Three days without food, water, or medicine — we decided we had to do something. We were led out of there. Where they brought us, they washed us and gave us medical aid. Overall, they give us water, food… I was mobilized. I worked in fast food, making shawarma. Guys from the TCC came by and placed an order for 10 portions. Then, instead of paying for all of it, they took me away. I didn’t even understand what my specialty was myself. I don’t know how much time passed, but since I was actually a cook, there is an assignment to a brigade. I can only speak for our company — there were about 20 of us in the company. I don’t know where the others are. I’m not sure, but as far as I can tell, most of the people in the unit are all mobilized. To voluntarily go and defend your homeland, that homeland first needs to give you something. But it only takes from you. I didn’t vote in the elections at all because there’s no one to vote for. I would gladly just get out of the country. I want to thank you for helping me survive, even though we are on different sides. But I observe the rules of politeness. You helped me, so I’m alive, barely.
